Your donations will support this fledgling Award and enable it to continue for another year, and hopefully for many more years to come. This will mean you are ensuring that great art by young people gets seen and heard – art that might otherwise never make it to the stage, massively boosting these young people’s chances of getting a rung higher on the intensely competitive theatrical career ladder, all while honouring a wonderful man taken from us too soon.
I personally pledge to donate all the UK royalties from my book, Languages of Loss, to the Bill Cashmore Award, and in addition I will also match all donations made by every one of you. I will invest these matched funds, and the royalties, in The Bill Cashmore Award Trust – a Charitable Trust that I have set up with the long-term aim of eventually making the Bill Cashmore Award self-funding. Until that day, please donate generously. You can do this in the following ways:
By bank transfer to The Lyric Hammersmith:
Sort code 20 06 05, account 50557714 referencing the Bill Cashmore Award.
Please also contact Amo Ofori-Darko at either Ama.Ofori-Darko@lyric.co.uk or on 020 8741 6822 ext 41 to let her know to expect the payment and attribute it to the Award.
Or just ring Ama directly and make the payment over the phone by Debit or Credit Card (please note the Lyric do not accept Amex).
And finally, please also sign up (another link here please to newsletter subscription thing – or place it directly underneath) for the Bill Cashmore Award newsletter so you can stay in touch with our work and even help steer the story by helping us choose next year’s winner at the March 13th Showcase – get your tickets here (link to Lyric box office page for the showcase).
